Solar Thermal Featured Project

Maintaining a system is one of the joys of owning a solar thermal system. They typically will last for decades, but periodically require some maintenance. A substantial part of our solar business is maintaning existing systems.

One such system has been in use for several decades, but recently developed a small leak. Of course this happened during the winter time, when the system was most required. It was a simple fix, and now the system should provide hotwater for several more decades. >> more

Scalable Systems

We use what we install. Doug's guest house is primarily heated through solar, plus providing hotwater to the guest house and secondarily to the main house. Doug's home system in Santa Fe, NM >> more

Integrated Rainwater and Solar Thermal System

Susan lives solely on rainwater and uses this same water to heat and cool her house. It is an end-to-end system, using natural rain and sun to help her life she always envisioned.

Design and Consulting Services

In addition to design and installation services, Doug and Aydin offer consulting services to oversee a project, either a homeowner or a contractor built system. Prevention of mistakes and errors typically more than pays for the services rendered.

Additionally, we offer design services directly to homeowers, installers or architects. Please contact us for samples of our work and a quote.

Maintenance Services

We offer a wide range of service and maintenance contracts. These range from one-time a year inspection to four times a year onsite service and maintenance (i.e. charging system, inspecting insulation, checking for leaks, etc.).

About Us

HarvestH2o specializes in consulting, designing, educating and installing small and large residential solar thermal systems. The systems can be as simple as installing a solar hot water system to as complex as designing and managing the installation of a large, whole-house hotwater and heating system.

Doug Pushard at HarvestH2o has been designing and installing systems for over a decade; including at his own homes. He is on the Board of Directors of the North American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association - ARCSA - and active in the Northern New Mexico area in water conservation; including being a member of the Semi-Arid Guild and a member of the Santa Fe Water Conservation Committee. Doug lives sustainability in Santa Fe, NM and is currently one of the few ARCSA Accredited Rainwater Professionals in New Mexico.

Several of his installations have been written up in national publications or on the HarvestH2o website. Doug has designed and/or installed dozens of systems in Texas, New Mexico and around the country.
